Hello! This is the section of my blog is where you find out a little more about me and the blog itself.
Exciting stuff, I know.
My name is Lauren, but I sometimes go as Laus. I’m a Scottish, twenty-four year old student who spends most of my time lost in the pages of a book. Particularly ones with elaborate and fantastical worlds, mystical creatures and wonderful characters.
Of course, I do have other interests outside of books. Don’t be too shocked. These include; Graphic design, product design, writing and baking.
When I’m not doing something involving any of the above interests, you can probably find me browsing bookstores, watching movies or doing some DIY. I love getting creative, even if I have no clue if my idea will actually work. It’s always fun to give it a try.
If you’d like to get a little bit more personal and find out more about me, then you can visit this post by clicking here. And, if you’re curious to know what books I have read then you can click here to view my online bookshelf.
I honestly wouldn’t class my reviews as “professional”. I will review books and/or products for you the way I would review them for my friends. I will be expressive, probably include a few too many exclamation marks and make full use of bold and italic text to portray my thoughts and feelings on the book or product. My reviews will always be my own honest opinions.
FictionTea began as an Instagram account on 19th September 2014. It was originally created to share pictures I had taken of books and to voice my thoughts and opinions on them.
Overtime, I began to fully review books and at the beginning of 2016, I believed it was time to begin planning and building FictionTea’s official blog where book and product reviews could be posted without a limited word count.
This blog has officially been in the works since May 2016, and I am constantly adding to it as time goes on.
You can find FictionTea’s other social media via the icons in the sidebar.
If you wish to contact me, then please do so via email or by filling out this contact form.
I am currently an Advocate for ‘The Bone Season’ series by Samantha Shannon, which just so happens to be my favourite series of all time. I have loved and supported this series since day one, and it was the series that originally inspired me to start sharing my thoughts and opinions in the online book community.
