It is I, FictionTea, returning with a freshly edited blog, a new header and some much needed motivation. (It’s also Guy Fawkes night when I’m finishing writing this post, so lets see if I can finish it without getting distracted by the copious amount of fireworks getting set off outside.)
I attempted this blog thing at the beginning of the year, and frankly, it just wasn’t the best time as I had a new job, classes, etc, and when I had a spare minute all I wanted to do was chill out with a cup of tea, a book, and about a dozen cookies.
However, now things have changed. I no longer have classes. I’m currently on leave from work, and I have so many fresh new ideas for this blog. I’m excited to share them with you all in the upcoming weeks, months, etc. But first, I thought I’d catch you guys up a little and let you know what’s been happening.

The first thing you should know is that I’ve started selling bookmarks on Etsy. I was lucky enough to receive an iPad Pro for Christmas last year which I then proceeded to use primarily for sketching out bookmark ideas. I liked the idea of creating minimalistic bookmarks that would fit into any bookstagrammer’s photo easily as well as keeping the page in your current read. The first few designs I completed were printed and I added them into a few of my photos. The response I got was huge, and so, I decided to sell them via Etsy. You guys have really liked them so far, and I hope you continue to with all the new designs I have planned out.
Defaced books have been another project I’ve been working on this season, I gave it a go of selling them on Etsy and it was fun to try painting on a variety of different books. However, it was incredibly time consuming. I will continue to sell these defaced books, but I will only be restocking every few months. If you want more information about purchasing these defaced books then you can message me via Etsy or visit my post on Instagram where all the prices have been listed.

So, as you can see, my blog looks a little different now. My first theme that I had, I absolutely adored, but it made things a little slow and even though that’s a minor detail, it made me less motivated to continue with posting. But, a fresh theme means a fresh start, right? I have chosen something super simple so that you guys will be able to focus on the content rather than trying to find it.
I plan to try to post at least twice a week to begin with, and hopefully I’ll get into the rhythm of things and begin to post more frequently. My posts will vary between reviews, DIY’s, tags/features and just general bookish ramblings. If you guys have any suggestions for things you’d like to see on my blog, then please let me know. I’m truly interested in hearing your suggestions.
I have some book reviews coming your way soon, if you’ve been following my Instagram then you may have an inkling of what books I’ll be reviewing.
I think I’ll end this blog post here. There is a steaming hot cuppa’ tea calling my name and these fireworks are really messing with my concentration.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful morning, afternoon or evening wherever you are!
Happy reading, folks.
